Description and Requirements
Sr. Manager, Cloud and Software Communications, Brand & Events
Lenovo Cloud and Software has an immediate need for an experienced communication manager to lead a team of marketers in driving all external communications, orchestrating internal and external events and elevating the brand for Lenovo’s Cloud and Software portfolio. You are a fit for this role if you excel in managing thought leadership content across a portfolio while driving tactical communications to support full funnel marketing activities. This role is responsible for managing the overarching communications, software brand and event strategy and implementation across teams and agencies
What you’ll do:
- As the communications lead, you will drive the content calendar for all thought leadership content across the portfolio for the Lenovo’s Cloud and Software brand
- Manage the team and agencies responsible for content creation and publication helping to provide strategic focus and prioritization across the business
- Build and implement the social strategy across all software channels
- Build a unified event strategy while executing on key internal and external events that elevate the Cloud Software portfolio
- Elevate the brand for Lenovo Cloud and Software both internally and externally
- Provide Brand governance for the Cloud and Software organization to ensure compliance with the Lenovo brand
- Define and support the content efforts aligned to our cloud software developer portal and platform
Experience required:
- Demonstrated a high bar for performance for yourself and others on your team
- Excellent communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to execute on strategic programs and communications that elevate the Lenovo Cloud Software portfolio.
- Experience managing thought leadership programs across social channels
- Biased toward action, a great collaborator, and a master at making the complex simple
- Experience in understanding how to prioritize and drive projects to completion and success, working with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Track record of partnership with cross-functional teams, including work with account/customer management teams.
- Experience with social listening and planning tools like Sprinklr
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of customer marketing experience in a SaaS Software environment, with a strong track record of effective communications, expert events management and brand strategy across a complex portfolio of products
- Experience leading a cross-functional team of employees, contractors and agencies
- Strong social marketing skills and experience
- Above average content writing and editing skills for a variety of audiences
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with stakeholders globally
- Experience managing agencies and contractors to deliver on critical KPIs in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years driving global communications and events
- Experience implementing a brand and naming approach across a portfolio of titles
