Description and Requirements

Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is innovating the future-defined data center, today. From the simplest to the most complex IT environments for all types of workloads, our servers, storage, networking and solutions help maximize the potential of data centers.

We are seeking a Sales Manager who will focus on our High Performance Computing (HPC) space. This representative will:

  • Sell Lenovo solutions to HPC clients coordinating design and build with Lenovo’s HPC organization.
  • Interact with the Channel and community to enhance Lenovo's visibility in HPC
  • Build and maintain relationships with Account decision makers and decision influencers, key business partners and influencers in the territory
  • Conversant in market and customer business requirements and trends for the HPC market and maintain market and competitive knowledge to ensure credibility with customers
  • Educate customers on Lenovo’s technology and develops a working knowledge of Lenovo’s Data Center Infrastructure offerings
  • Understand and effectively communicate the value of Lenovo solutions to customers within the HPC market
  • Conceptualize, develop and storyboard industry and technical presentations to all levels of the organization
  • Deliver technical updates and road maps to C -level executives while maintaining and forecasting account engagement information in Dynamics
  • Develop long term sales pipeline and relationships to increase Lenovo’s market share
  • Create and grow reference customers
  • Set direction for business development and solution replication.
  • Sell complex products or solutions to customers on a partnership basis. May act as a dedicated resource to one or just a few strategic accounts.
  • Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, including the C-level by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
  • Contribute to enduring executive relationships that establish Lenovo’s consultative professionalism and promote its total capabilities
  • Maintain expertise on typical budgets, objectives, measures, and metrics of the customer’s leadership team.
Scope and Impact:
  • Work on a specified number of accounts of greater strategic (long-term) value to Lenovo
  • Significant percentage of time spent directly with customer interfaces with all levels.
  • Direct time with customer's technical buyers as well as Procurement
  • Typically accountable for higher-than-average revenue
 Basic Requirements:
  • A BS or BA degree
  • 8+ years of technical sales experience required
  • 5+ years of management experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales with server/data center products.
  • Experience selling to Cloud Service Providers is highly preferred.
  • Experience in the strategic selling of future and current technologies.
  • Ability to create quarterly business plans.
  • Integrity, willingness to provide feedback in challenging situations.

The base salary range budgeted for this position is $117,000 - $160,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found at www.lenovobenefits.com.
