You Will:
1.Strategic Planning and Management:
- Developing Infrastructure Roadmap: Creating a long-term vision for the organization's IT infrastructure, aligning it with business goals and technological advancements.
- Capacity Planning: Analyzing current and future IT needs to ensure sufficient infrastructure resources are available to support business growth and operations.
- Budget Management: Developing and managing the IT infrastructure budget, optimizing costs, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Vendor Management: Evaluating, selecting, and managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
2. Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Designing Network Architecture: Planning and implementing network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Server Management: Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers.
- Cloud Computing: Managing cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including deployment, security, and cost optimization.
- Data Center Operations: Managing data center operations, including physical security, power, cooling, and environmental monitoring.
3. Operations and Maintenance:
- System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Incident Management: Responding to and resolving IT infrastructure incidents, minimizing downtime, and ensuring business continuity.
- Security Management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect IT infrastructure from threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Developing and testing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a major outage.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
- Leading and Mentoring: Building and leading a team of IT infrastructure professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
- Performance Management: Setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback to team members.
- Collaboration: Working effectively with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of IT infrastructure with business applications and processes.
5. Staying Current:
- Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluating new technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the IT infrastructure.
- Industry Best Practices: Staying abreast of industry best practices and standards for IT infrastructure management.
