What You’ll Do
This is a global position for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer (MQE). The engineer will analyze the quality performance for the full lifecycle of products at the Lenovo manufacturing facility in Monterrey, NL. The engineer will help understand root causes, develop corrective actions, and establish control and reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- The MQE will be responsible for managing the product Quality elements:
- Process mapping, PFMEA, target setting, and on-going monitoring for their assigned products from product introduction to product withdrawal.
- Work with the manufacturing sites (local QA and TE) to improve system quality against established targets. Analysis of test logs
- Work with the WW QE team to develop and drive global initiatives.
- Support other WW QE's efforts at your home mfg. site.
- Support customer requests and audit needs as required.
- Support customer eFAI's with the overall team.
Position Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Quality experience
- English language skills are required (Spanish language skills also preferred)
- Good with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office 365 software
- Focus on customers and positive results
Preferred Requirements:
- Six Sigma
- Power BI
- Manage DMAIC
- Manage SPC (Statistical process control)
- PFMA Process
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail
- Strong organization, coordination, and project management skills with a strong sense of ownership
- Flexibility to work some evening hours
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
- Team player attitude with the ability to work proactively & autonomously
- Ability to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural environments
