Description and Requirements

We are hiring a Summer 2023 Intern to join the Infrastructure Systems Group, who are responsible for server mechanical development at Lenovo. This role will be based onsite out of our Morrisville, NC location.

You must be currently attending an HBCU university in NC to be eligible for this role. 

Responsibilities:

  • You will work with an experienced engineer to create parts for a Lenovo server
  • Designing structural sheet metal enclosures supporting electronic circuit boards, and creating plastic part designs to support adapter cards
  • Document designs in 2D drawings, and 3D solid models

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Ability to work onsite at our Morrisville, NC location
  • Three-dimensional computer design skills
  • Completed MET AAS courses including CAD I, II, III, Mechanisms, and Intro in Solid Modeling
  • Ability to learn PTC Creo CAD tool and PTC Windchill for CAD data file management
