Position Description
The North America (NA) Strategy & Sales Operations Team is focused on optimizing short-term sales operations/performance along with creating the strategy for long-term growth within the NA Region. The Strategy & Sales Operations internship is designed to prepare you for a full-time career on a strategy & operations team. Throughout the course of this internship, you will be an integral part of the team, helping find solutions to urgent business challenges and needs. These challenges can be across a variety of functions including strategic initiatives, data analytics, and reporting, marketing, product, supply chain, and sales. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other interns to help develop a business proposal for the North America executive team.

General Responsibilities
● Quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the smartphone market and its trends
● Analyze and develop product business cases to help make portfolio decisions and drive long-term strategies
● Partner with Sales Account Teams, Finance, Pricing, Portfolio, and Marketing to drive improved product planning and sales execution
● Support the day-to-day business planning process including sales and data analytics, reporting, and tool development
● Analyze various data sources (market trends, economic indicators, competitive analysis, purchasing preferences, pricing trends, technology trends) and leverage key trends to impact strategies
● Develop and support presentations for Motorola executive team

Position Requirements:
● Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in finance, economics, marketing, or management with expected graduation between May 2024-May 2025

  • Ability to relocate or commute to the Chicago area for the duration of the internship (relocation stipend will be provided if not local)

It Would Be A Plus If You Have:
● Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides)
● Ability to apply critical thinking to solve complex business problems
● Ability to define and frame business problems in a logical and structured manner
● Motivated self-starter that is comfortable working independently and in ambiguity
● Highly collaborative with experience working in cross-functional teams
