Description and Requirements

The Lenovo North America VMware Go to Market Sr. Manager is a Lenovo internal position that manages the business of selling all VMware Products through the Lenovo sales and partner channels. This position will create a 5 year long term growth strategy and manage it via quarterly business targets. The position works extensively with all Sales Teams and other internal organizations including the NA Brand Team, WW Product & Alliances, channel, and finance/operations as well as key stakeholders within VMware.
 

This role drives and manages driving the Lenovo VMware Go-to-market in key areas:

  • Sets long term strategic growth plan broken into quarterly targets.
  • Works with Sales to define and execute quarterly campaigns with objectives and goals by product, route, partner, and segment. 
  • Drives demand gen programs by coordinating all internal VMware focused stakeholder and external partners.
  • Create process to track and manage VMware Pipeline and sales participation rates.
  • Presents progress to bi-weekly to internal and VMware leadership.
  • Creates Business Development and Technical Support processes to increase Lenovo VMware win rate. 
  • Owns and drives communication and actions weekly.
  • Works with Key Partner Product Managers to proactively communicate Business Plans and coordinate promotional spend. 
  • Understands sales trends and competitive landscape at the Partners.
  • Be the voice of the customer that drives the WW team to create a differentiated and customer centric product strategy.
  • HYBRID - This position will include work from our Morrisville campus as well as work from home each week.

    This job is based in Morrisville, NC, where our global headquarters is located. While we welcome applicants from other locations, the successful candidate must be willing to relocate independently.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Engineering or Business preferred
  • 5+ years of IT industry experience focused on software ecosystems
  • Technical Marketing background with experience in Enterprise products

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Knowledge and/or familiarity of the VM product offering set 
  • Strong business acumen and customer focus.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to track and manage a complex GTM execution plan
  • Experience working in the IT channel 
  • Strong interpersonal skills & keen attention to details 
  • Ability to manage through influence and negotiation 
  • Strong verbal (presentation) and written communication
