National BDM Storage 

Are you a Storage Sales Specialist? Do you love datacenter computing and storage solutions?

Lenovo is drastically enhancing its Storage products portfolio and is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Storage Salesperson to drive Lenovo’s storage portfolio.

As a Lenovo Storage Sales Specialist in Lenovo’s datacenter group, you will get engaged in promoting Lenovo DCG solutions. You will work with CTOs, IT decision makers, Lenovo pre-sales and sales teams, with Lenovo partners and ISVs. Your goal and target is to drive Lenovo’s data center opportunities through the sales cycle, from understanding customer business and technical requirements, building the solution architecture and closing deals.

For our India Region, we are looking for a Techno- Commercial expert who can fulfil these roles:

  • As a lead technical salesperson, provide end to end Storage consultancy to customers and prospects on Lenovo’s data center products and solutions with focus specifically on Storage as a SME
  • Build strong customer relationships and become the trusted adviser for the account.
  • Conduct technical presentations to clients in an individual capacity or along with the account team.
  • Lead and develop proposals for client projects, provide technical inputs for client RFPs and take the lead role on ensuring technical feasibility to help Lenovo qualify in RFP’s.
  • Be the local "Go To" person for anything related to Storage information.
  • Help with the creation and verification of technical configurations for storage solutions.
  • Participate in deep-dive discussions as well as be responsible for evaluating the customer's current and desired business and infrastructure needs.
  • Continuously build deep skill in storage products and software defined storage solutions and impart them to the local sales and presales team.
  • Collaborate with Lenovo’s ISV partners to build market leading technical solutions and chart GTM with them.
  • Obtain client feedback on Lenovo’s hardware products and solutions and share it with the global development and Product teams for continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Be responsible for conducting business partner enablement webinars and should have the ability to speak in external events, seminars, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with 11+yrs of professional experience 
  • Having worked in Pure Storage, HDS, NetApp, HPE or IBM storage divisions would be a big plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills in English.
    Successful track record of supporting the closure of business with technical consultancy.
  • Successful track record of creating, presenting and positioning IT primary storage, Hyper Convergence, Convergence and/or server virtualization solutions directly to end customers and via reseller channels
    Experience in understanding the differences between various vendor implementations of Data tiering, Data Migrations, Multi-site deployments, and cloud integration, and the ability to articulate the differences in software capabilities of vendor storage technologies
    Experience in using consultative sales techniques and able to articulate the technical value proposition to the customer
    Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the sales function and across functions including Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing and Product Development
  • Commercial awareness of the local Competitive Market in the west region of India, business partner objectives and the customer industry environment, preferably in the external storage market and hyperscale cloud industry.
  • 10+ years of experience in any one or two of the following infrastructure technologies selling:
  • Enterprise Storage, including Software defined Storage.
  • VMware Virtualization (ESXi, vCloud Director, vRealize, vSAN)
  • Network attached Storage / File Storage
  • Flash Storage
  • Storage virtualization
  • Backup to disk / Backup to tape environments
