About Our Team

We are hiring a Network Engineer to work on storage product design and integration in the Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP).

Lenovo’s Cloud Service Provider business unit is a fast-paced customer-centric organization that will adapt to changing market demands to serve customer needs. Location: Monterrey, MX (Relocation assistance is available)


What You'll Do

  • Design and integrate storage products (JBOF or JBOD) and IO device (HDD, SSD)

  • Troubleshoot HW and SW issues

  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Team Lead, customer, site staff and attending regularly scheduled customer meetings

  • Identify areas of testing that could be automated and work with validation/script team to implement automation


  Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 3+ years experience in networking and ethernet

  • Software development experience


  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is a plus

  • Ability to triage and resolve complex networking and storage issues and share guidance to other engineers who are assigned tasks related to the problem investigation

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for a variety of tasks, including customer engagements, design/feedback, and updates

  • Any of below experiences is a plus:

  * Failure Analysis of HDD and SSD devices

  * PCIe protocol, NVMe protocol

  * SAS/SATA/SES/SMP Protocol

  * Reviewing System Error Logs, HBA/Expander/JBOD/HDD/SSD logs

  * Experience in HDD/SSD/IO test tools(E.g. Iometer, FIO etc.)

  * Scripting languages (Windows PowerShell, perl, etc.)

  * Board design schematic review

  * UEFI/BMC, Linux/Windows Operating systems

  • Ability to provide mentorship to other engineers and support the growth and development of engineering talent applied to new technologies
