Description and Requirements

Employer: Lenovo Japan, LLC
Work location: Akihabara UDX (Tokyo); (3 onsite and 2 remote days in a week)
Employment condition: Permanent Staff (Probation period: 6 months)

Expected salary: JPY4.97M for Master degree (B5); 4.54M for Bachelor's degree
Working hours: 9:00-17:45 (Rest time: 1 hour (12:00-13:00))

Job contents:
  • You will be responsible for covering 1-2 of the 6 Lenovo group companies in the areas of mid-career and new graduate recruitment activities as a Japan Talent Acquisition (TA) team member (Recruiter).
  • Partner closely with assigned business units to manage full-cycle end-to-end recruitment processes, to ensure sourcing and hiring strategies are aligned with our HR standard, and to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Communicate with business leaders and hiring managers to evaluate their talent requirements and advise the best way of hiring strategy, including effective sourcing plan.
  • Learn and utilize various types of sourcing channels, including direct sourcing tools via web, job fair, networking event, employee referral, agency vendors and identify/attract the best talents, especially by data mining and scouting activities.
  • Create and maintain pipeline of the candidate list for corresponding to the urgent request of the hiring.
  • Attend job fair events for attracting the best talents for Lenovo group companies.
  • Screen and select candidates effectively by assessing both the technical and business skills as well as culture fit within our environment.
  • Provide a productive experience for all candidate from the application submission & interview coordination stages to offer, by evaluating the correct/matching skill for your requirement, driving the interview and offer processes efficiently, including reference checks, salary recommendations/negotiations and closing of candidates.
  • Be conscious of aging requirements and plan for filling them quickly while receiving support from TA manager and hiring manager.
  • Access niche communities and get us those juicy names and emails for potential requirements.
  • Work together with our local Talent Acquisition team, who is running our recruitment efforts for the AP Lenovo team
  • Coordinate with Talent Managers to forecast department goals and hiring needs
  • Utilize internal recruitment system, follow up the TA process and execute the recruitment activities accurately, while being conscious of compliance matters.
  • Work on daily or weekly objectives, depending on the workflow.
  • Provide progress reports upon requested schedules.
Requirements
Must Have - essential experience
  • Advance Word, Excel and PPT user knowledge
  • Getting used to PC and its software for creating documents
Qualifications (Skill, Competency)
  • 4th grade in any universities or 2nd grade in any graduate schools in Japan or overseas countries with brilliant academic record. (* Ideally speaking, able to join Lenovo in 2024)
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with candidates, agency vendor consultants, hiring managers and cross-functional partners.
  • Having willingness and ability to search the net, sourcing channels and social media, where you can find the best talents
  • Strong interests in the IT industry and/or interacting with talents in general
  • Language skills: Japanese (Native-level/ JLPT 1st level); English (Business-level, such as TOEIC 800 points or higher)
  • Pleasant character
