Description and Requirements
This is a new North America (NA) geography role in Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) supporting the Lenovo-VMware alliance marketing relationship.
This role oversees the North America ISG Marketing team’s strategic B2B marketing plan with VMware and serves as the geography’s VMware marketing SME. The individual will collaborate with various Geo Lenovo (and VMware) marketing peers to build the marketing B2B execution plans. The individual will also provide support to their functional team members in the plan execution, including content management (i.e., translations and adapting WW-delivered marketing content), interfacing with agencies, assisting with demand gen campaigns, supporting event logistics for various marketing events/experiences, proof of performance, and so on.
Additionally, the individual will:
- Lead the NA Geo marketing relationship with VMware
- Deliver quarterly NA Geo marketing KPIs (e.g., marketing leads, pipeline, win revenue)
- Own multiple cross-functional GTM projects and associated project plans
- Collaborate with WW ISG Marketing counterparts on NA Geo needs, insights, and feedback
- Report into NA ISG Marketing team
Requirements:
For this role, we are seeking a champion who also meets the following requirements:
- Proven ability to drive marketing strategy and joint marketing execution across a geography
- Prior marketing experience in data center and IT Infrastructure technologies
- Strong background in B2B Marketing of Cloud/Hybrid Cloud solutions to enterprise
- Strong project management skills for managing cross-functional projects
- Strong budget management skills for the VMware geo investment for joint marketing and sales enablement
- Strong agency management experience
- Ability to effectively collaborate and support Geo counterparts across multiple functions (i.e. Marketing, Channel Marketing, Sales/Enablement, etc.) to assist with marketing execution
- Ability to engage effectively in cross-cultural initiatives and engagements across multiple time zones
- Excellent communications (written, PowerPoint, and verbal), especially for communicating and presenting to senior-level executives
- Self-motivated, work independently and can proactively resolve issues and make process improvements
- Team player mentality and positive, "can do" attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of B2B marketing
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing/communications/business)
- Ability to travel 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and past marketing experience with the VMware portfolio
- Partner relationship management experience (i.e., alliance partners, channel marketing partners)
- Proven experience across a broad range of marketing activities, disciplines, and tactics. (e.g., demand gen and content creation aligned to a target audience buyer’s journey, channel marketing, field marketing, etc.)
