Description and Requirements

What You'll Do:
The Lenovo OEM Portfolio Team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to work with industry certification and software companies, to better enable Lenovo Products for specific markets. Qualified candidates must have experience with leading projects related to specific industry and hardware or software-related certifications.

This person will be responsible for securing the required certifications on specific Lenovo computer products, related to, (but not limited to) Maritime, Healthcare, and Defense. Additionally, this person will help our OEM business group align with Lenovo’s technical teams to ensure that our OEM portfolio is offering a comprehensive and competitive o/s and software products.

This person will work directly with internal Lenovo product development, marketing, operations, and finance team members, as well as third party testing facilities and certification agencies to deliver products that meet specific industry certification requirements, within target time frames and financial targets.

He or she must have proven success in working with multi-national, cross-functional teams, in communicating clear objectives and keeping projects and team members on task.
He or she will be responsible for coordinating regular team meetings, communicating updates and meeting outcomes, and participating in the development of marketing collateral and sales training material.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in business and/or supply chain discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in product and/or program management.
  • 2+ years of direct experience working with, (or in) the industries mentioned in the description above.
  • Exemplary leadership skills.
  • Strong program management discipline.
  • Ability to build new organizational capability and lead cross functional technical team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in an autonomous, leadership capacity.
  • High degree of creativity in finding new ways to execute and improve effectiveness.
  • Spirit of entrepreneurship requiring high-energy, proactivity, and teaming/collaboration.
  • Keen understanding of country/region complexities for global implementations.
  • Necessary credentials to work within the United States and travel abroad as necessary without restrictions (US Passport.)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP certification.
  • Maritime, healthcare, and/or defense industry certifications.
  • Solid understanding of the personal computer industry, and a basic knowledge or computer hardware, operating systems, and software.
