  • Master’s degree or higher in a related discipline such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering
  • Familiar with different types of OR models, e.g., network flow, TSP, VRP, facility location, planning & scheduling, etc. Capable of choosing a suitable solution approach based on the application scenario and performance requirement
  • Familiar with algorithms and concepts in optimization, e.g., Linear Programming, Non-Linear Programming, Mixed-Integer Programming, Dynamic Programming, Combinatorial Optimization, Meta-Heuristic Algorithms, Evolution Algorithms, etc.
  • Experience with at least one of the solvers, e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi, SCIP, Lindo, etc.
  • Experience with innovative design and development of solution algorithms. Can improve the optimization results or enhance solving efficiency based on result analysis.
  • Expertise in at least one programming language, such as Python (preferred), R, C/C++, Java. Familiar with data processing/analyzing/visualization packages such as Numpy, Pandas, etc. with good engineering skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; Ability to learn new techniques with strong-self-motivation; Good communication skills and team-working spirit.

Preferred candidates with one or more aspects below:

  • Hands-on experience with relatively complex optimization and scheduling algorithms, such as heuristic-based algorithms, is preferred
  • Experience in real projects related to optimization and intelligence decision-making is preferred
  • Hands-on experience in developing optimization solver is preferred
  • Experience in using machine learning algorithms to solve optimization problems is preferred
  • Having top conference or journal papers in related fields is preferred
