What You’ll Do:

Do you enjoy writing and editing communications that help inspire the world? Do your strengths include attention to detail, tactical implementation and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment? If so, we may have just the role to help launch your career with the potential for years of growth and opportunity. The PR communications specialist has a way with words and will use it to support PR programs as part of the global communications team for Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group. In this role, you will be responsible for developing quality content and executing PR activities to build awareness of the company's solutions, innovations and expertise.

Critical skills include content development, press release writing, organizational communications, and project management in a diverse, deadline-driven organization. The PR Specialist must be able to understand and help communicate our strategy and vision to external audiences and in their role within assigned work groups.

This is an entry-level position for candidates with up to 18 months of public relations experience, including a prior internship with Lenovo.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing communications with ability to write short- and long-form content in a corporate voice; familiar with thought leadership, ghostwriting and op/ed formats.
  • Assist with draft development of press releases and other pre-launch materials such as backgrounders, fact sheets, etc. for external communications.   Assist with executing project elements as well as developing, reviewing and editing content for print and digital use.
  • Project management of public relations initiatives, including development of schedules and status tracking.  Help maintain and execute internal status update to executive teams.  
  • Monitor and report on media coverage.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and agency vendors in support of external communications strategy.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans to develop and promote content to support the expansion of the brand’s identity and awareness.
