Motorola North America is seeking a dynamic and creative PR and Social Media Intern to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of technology and consumer electronics while contributing to the promotion of iconic products like the Motorola Razr and other cutting-edge devices.
This internship will take place in Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of engaging social media content across platforms like Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Support PR initiatives, including drafting press releases, media lists, and event materials.
- Monitor social media trends, news, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for engagement.
- Engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
- Track and report on social media and PR campaign performance using analytics tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on creative campaigns and product launches.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and editing.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Creativity and a keen eye for visual and brand storytelling.
- Familiarity with public relations concepts and tools, including press releases and media relations.
- Passion for technology, social media, and storytelling.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
The base salary range budgeted for this position is $25 - $33/hour.
