Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Packaging Engineer Undergraduate Intern to assist our packaging engineering team. In this role, you will plan and execute reliability testing, develop protective packaging solutions, troubleshoot transportation packaging issues, and support laboratory management. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge in a practical setting while working on real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Reliability Testing:
- Plan and execute reliability testing using various equipment, including Shock Tables, Vibration Tables, Package Drop Machines, spectrum analyzers, and related tools.
Protective Packaging Development:
- Design and develop innovative protective packaging solutions for Lenovo ISG products, focusing on cushions and corrugated designs.
Troubleshooting:
- Identify and troubleshoot transportation packaging problems related to designs, materials, and processes. Provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions to enhance product safety during transit.
Laboratory Management:
- Assist with regular management and maintenance of laboratory facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with packaging design principles and materials.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CAD software is a plus.
