Description and Requirements

As a Channel Solutions Engineer (SE) you will play a pivotal role in supporting our channel partners by providing technical expertise, pre-sales support, and solutions architecture guidance. You will collaborate closely with our channel sales teams, distributors, and resellers to ensure the successful adoption and deployment of our hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Pre-Sales Support:

  • Engage with channel partners to understand their customers' technical requirements and challenges.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical deep dives to showcase the capabilities of our hardware solutions.
  • Collaborate with channel sales teams to develop and present compelling technical proposals to potential clients.

Solutions Architecture:

  • Assess customer needs and design customized hardware solutions that meet their specific requirements.
  • Create detailed technical designs, diagrams, and documentation to support solution implementations.
  • Collaborate with product management to provide feedback on product enhancements and feature requests based on partner feedback.

Training and Enablement:

  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to channel partners and their technical teams to ensure a deep understanding of our product portfolio.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to partners to enable them to effectively sell and support our products.
  • Support engagement between local SE team and partner technical community
  • Drive programs to support new product adoption

Technical Expertise:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to maintain a high level of technical expertise.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our hardware solutions, both internally and externally.
  • Articulate the competitive advantages of Lenovo over competitors

Customer Advocacy:

  • Act as a liaison between channel partners and our technical support and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Champion customer feedback and advocate for product improvements based on partner and customer experiences.
  • Pipeline management


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a pre-sales or solutions engineering role, preferably in the hardware industry.
  • Strong understanding of hardware architecture, networking, and data center technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to design solutions.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with channel partners and customers.
  • Relevant industry certifications is a plus.
