Description and Requirements

Lenovo is looking to add talent to our growing Global Media COE (Center of Excellence). We offer an environment that is challenging, fast-paced and continuously evolving in pursuit of our goals. We collaborate with global, geo and country marketers, other functional COEs and our creative and media agencies to develop global strategies to be activated in our priority markets and beyond. 

The Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining our marketing data infrastructure. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and implementing data pipelines, data warehousing, and business intelligence systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our marketing data is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible for decision-making. Critical to this is helping ensure that we’re getting the most out of our tools/systems and leveraging our 1 party data for marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a sophisticated and well-rounded data strategist, analyst and thought leader; Someone who is effective in planning for short-term and long-term success, who is curious, creative, persistent, thorough, extremely detail-oriented, collaborative, and fast.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment on tool connectivity and usage – break silos and educate others on what’s happening across the organization.
  • Assist in the evolution of our Data Strategy so we’re developing the right audience segments to drive site and creative personalization – which leads to better campaign performance.
  • Design and build scalable, reliable, and efficient data pipelines for marketing data integration and ETL processes.
  • Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions for marketing data that enable timely access and analysis by various stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions that enable stakeholders to monitor and analyze marketing data effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for data-driven insights, and ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines, data warehousing, and business intelligence systems.

Methods & tools:

  • Taxonomy development and implementation
  • Attribution methodologies
  • Data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Domo, etc.)
  • Site tagging: ad server floodlights, media/data partner pixels, etc.
  • Ad tech: ad serving, DSPs/DMPs, CDPs, DCO, social media analytics/insights, etc.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working within a large, fast-moving organization with many internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms such as Talend, Informatica, or Apache Nifi.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, and other programming languages used for data analysis and transformation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations and best practices.
We are open to this role being worked remote for someone located on East Coast or Central time zones

The base salary budgeted range for this position in CA, CO, Jersey City - NJ, NV, Ithaca - NY, NYC, WA, is $100K-130K.  Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com
