Summary:

We are looking for passionate and driven software developers who are willing to learn and want to make an impact in a fast-paced global technology environment.

Our Infrastructure Solutions Group is currently seeking a Firmware Developer to join a Firmware Development Team to create, validate and maintain BIOS/UEFI code used on Lenovo servers.

Job Description:

Candidates will work with software engineers to write, debug and test embedded Firmware. Manage and maintain firmware build tools, manage builds, and release Firmware to test as well as recreate and fix problems reported by the test team. Duties may include code development, unit testing, debugging, and customer support for technical issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

* BS degree in computer Science, electrical engineering or similar
*5 years' minimum experience in Embedded Firmware/Software Development
* Strong experience with the C programming language
* Experience with firmware programming and debugging
* Experience with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) or BIOS
* Experience with Intel processors
* Experience with bring up and hardware boot sequence
* Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
* Familiar with Intel Assembler
* Proficient with Git source version control system.
* Intimate knowledge of software development processes expected.
* Knowledgeable of Agile methodologies and tools.
* Strong analytical and debug methodology skills expected
* Proficient at recognizing complex problems related to functional objectives.
* Applies creativity and judgment to developmental work on different projects within the business environment.
* Analyze situations and implement solutions, or develop new system elements, procedures, or processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

* MS degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar
* Experience with SMI/SMM
* Experience with ACPI
