Description and Requirements

Lenovo worldwide server performance team is in search of a power benchmark engineer who possess the following knowledge and expertise: Familiar with Java performance, OS power management, CPU and server power features. Applied knowledge related to debug of server related issues (CPU/Server power features, OS power management and Java). Able and willing to engage and collaborate early with the broader server development team on Thermal concerns e.g. cooling / fan speed algorithm as well as Firmware features. Expert understanding of Java features in order to identify version impacts on server performance and an ability to leverage features to improve Java application performance. Applied knowledge of server OS (Windows and Linux) power management with an ability to optimize OS services and kernel parameters for power savings. Experience and familiar with writing technical papers / documents that promote server features and capabilities. Will have experience providing support for customer reported performance issues found in the field. Ability to translate technology/technical discoveries into product innovations leading to patent submissions and disclosures.
