As the Portfolio Manager of Mobile Phones in Brazil, you will play a crucial role in defining our smartphone portfolio, showcasing cutting-edge mobile technology to our customers, and ensuring that our products provide a delightful experience to end-users, based on the knowledge of Brazilian consumer behaviors, preferences and trends.
Our Portfolio Management and Execution team enables businesses through technical expertise, leveraging our deep understanding of regional dynamics. We connect the power of unified storytelling with local realities, expertly negotiate requirements and competitive advantages, and deliver global products and services through localized execution.
The role will report directly to the Portfolio Management & Execution Director for LATAM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Strategy: Consolidate and optimize requirements, including banding, memory, colors, and specifications, or features where we are behind competition, to define the country's product portfolio. Facilitate discussions and strategic analyses with sales and other go-to-market functions such as marketing, trade, and operations. Create and drive a comprehensive agenda for the office, focused on product planning, market competition, alerts, and comparative analysis. Act as a proactive facilitator, inspiring confidence in our product portfolio, while addressing concerns with compelling product solutions and arguments.
- Customer Engagement: Support sales teams throughout the sell-in process and engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Competitive Analysis: Evaluate the competitive landscape for each product tier and contribute to defining key selling points and value proposition.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and completeness of milestones leading to technical acceptance from customers. Prioritize and address technical issues, working closely with engineering to resolve them before product launch.
- Deep consumer knowledge: utilize information from internal sources of information as CRM, Marketing Researches, NPS, etc. in order to enrich the portfolio value proposition. Articulate that information towards development teams.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation and creative customer engagement techniques, complemented by excellent presentation skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Basic finance and business analysis knowledge.
- Experience in people management.
- Understanding of Smartphones technology.
- Knowledge in software architecture and processes.
- Knowledge of IP telecommunications networks, cellular networks (WiFi, Bluetooth, USB), and cellular communication technologies (3G, 4G, 5G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc.).
- Familiarity with cellular equipment and a basic understanding of the Android operating system.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Science, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications
- MBA is a Plus.
- Fluency in English (oral and written) is a must. Spanish language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 20%).
