Join Lenovo’s Global Corporate ESG team as a program manager responsible for Lenovo’s US extended producer responsibility (EPR) programs and global Product End of Life Management (PELM) program. The position will support corporate circular economy activities and other corporate ESG and sustainability initiatives. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Global ESG.

This role requires knowledge of regulatory requirements in the electronics product stewardship, e-waste recycling, reuse, circular economy and an understanding of other emerging topics including Right to Repair, battery stewardship and packaging stewardship. Strong project management skills are essential for managing a global supplier auditing program and tracking relevant regulations and industry standards such as R2, e-Stewards, EPEAT, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and more. The role will work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and outside partners to ensure ongoing compliance and risk management and meeting customer expectations.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Manage Lenovo’s US extended producer responsibility (EPR) compliance programs and relationships with service providers for electronics (e-waste), battery, packaging and Right to Repair; track and communicate emerging US and state level EPR regulations
• Overall ownership and execution at the corporate level for Lenovo’s PELM programs, including global recycling supplier audit program, management of Lenovo’s corporate Electronics End of Life Standard for Suppliers, internal global listing of approved suppliers and relationship with worldwide auditors
• Support circular economy and circularity activities at the corporate level with Lenovo product groups, global supply chain, services and solutions group, and represent Lenovo in external stakeholder discussions
• Ensure PELM program meets Lenovo’s global Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements and participate in annual EMS processes for target setting and reporting and participate in EMS audits
• Manage and drive innovation in Lenovo’s global internal processes, documents, and databases defining responsibilities for Lenovo organizations including services, procurement, manufacturing, real estate, and other operations and manage relationships with key partners supporting Lenovo’s risk management efforts in this area
• Drive establishment of corporate level objectives and targets, establish, monitor, and measure related metrics and report results to management, customers and investors or in ESG/sustainability reporting documents, communication documents and websites, etc.
• Manage global standards and approval process for suppliers of EPR services
• Engage with external standards bodies, NGOs, industry trade organization and others to drive the development of responsible end of life and product stewardship standards and criteria including those contained in EPEAT standards
• Assist extended ESG team with additional projects as needed

Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• Eight years of experience in environmental, ESG, compliance, product stewardship, circular economy, recycling, sustainability, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree
• Strong project management skills are essential
• Audit training or certifications related to ISO 14001, R2, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), e-Stewards or similar compliance or management systems
• Experience with electronic product ecolabel programs such as EPEAT or TCO
• Experience with ESG surveys including Ecovadis, Thesis, or similar

The base salary range for this position in Colorado, New York City, Nevada and Washington, is up to $125,000.00. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
