Description and Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Global product benchmarking study with the products available in the market or to be launched soon mainly from the perspective of consumer experience.
- Understand the market development of smartphone (and adjacent categories) especially the competitors and consumers.
- Understand user behavior and driver designer to define and secure user experience.
- Understand the technical aspects including (but not restricted to camera, display, touch, audio, out-of-box, etc.) that could impact the consumer experience.
- Optimize product features by consolidating customer needs and market trend.
- Provide effective support to engineering team, engage to determine the best technical solution in terms of cost, time, quality, lead regularly review for problem solving.
- Coordinate and build strong working relations with various teams including: Engineering, Purchasing, Operation, Marketing, and Sales.
Essential Skill:
- Bachelor degree or above in marketing, business administration; engineering major with an advance business degree (MBA for example) is also preferred.
- Experience on product marketing, product management, project management, market research or consultant, and an exactly fit of product portfolio management will have a clear advantage.
- Experience in self-media in technology segments including but not restricted to smartphones.
- Early adopters with experience of reviewing products with subjective and objective perspectives.
- Strong strategy & analytical skills to understand market & competitive dynamics and develop value based strategies to drive growth and profit.
- Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions (Engineering, Purchasing, Operation, Marketing, and Sales, etc.), ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Good communication & presentation skills, fluent in English, good MS offices skills.
- Willing to learn, responsible, self-motivated, team spirit, result oriented.
