Description and Requirements
Worldwide Product Marketing Manager, WW IDG Consumer Marketing
Job Description:
As part of the worldwide consumer marketing team in the intelligent device group you will integrate, under a director of consumer marketing, a cross-product Product Marketing team, based in our Beijing headquarters. You will help create and market innovative consumer products, solutions and services including tablets, PCs, monitors and smart devices, in the likes of Lenovo Smart Paper, Lenovo Tab Extreme or Lenovo Freestyle, to name a few.
Responsibilities:
A. Marketing the Product
Determine the product positioning and KSP, working closely with the Product Management team
Establishing the product story, briefs and collaterals needed to brief internal and external functions prior to launch
Support sell-in teams with compelling material: presentations, videos and demos
Enable product experiences in retail, such as but not limited to e-point-of-sale material
Support product launch at global events working closely with the Events team
Train company-wide stakeholders on the product, the target customer, and the key use-cases
Integrate yourself and your work in the company’s vision for “smarter technology for all”
Engage and leverage top brand-partners such as Google, Microsoft, and more
Lead multiple creative agencies
Project-manage complex multi-team schedules for successful launch and go-to-market
B. Making a better product
Enhance the product proposition at concept stage by working closely with the Product Management team on:
Research on competitors, consumers, industry to foment leading product innovation
Test, validate, feedback early-stage concepts for software, hardware and experiences
C. Effectively manage and deliver.
Manage and track budget and projects to successfully complete your tasks
Drive progress within cross-functional teams
Requirements:
1. 5+ years of Product Marketing or Marketing Experience
2. Minimum of 4 years working within consumer electronics categories
3. Proficient in English and Mandarin is required
4. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
5. Advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills
6. Passionate about technology and innovation also a must
7. Goal oriented, organized, self-motivated, creative, have a strong attention to detail, and have the ability to work effectively 8. in a cross-functional team with Product Management, R&D, Marketing Communications, Operations and Sales teams
9. Top national engineering or business school degree a plus
10.Technical knowledge a plus
11. Start up (hardware / software) experiences welcomed
12. Based in Beijing or willingness to relocate immediately is a requirement
