Lenovo Solution & Services Group (SSG) is looking for a Project Management leader to further enhance our push for Services-led Transformation. This position represents a rewarding opportunity to use your experience and skills in a dynamic and complex organization. The Project Manager is responsible for representing and leading the delivery of strategic solution and services. The ideal candidate can manage complex projects with minimal supervision and using their own initiative. Exposure to larger organizations and experience in both public and private companies are essential; excellent communication skills both publicly and with all our stakeholders (technical and executive, customers and internal to Lenovo) are required; consulting and senior management experiences also required.

This is an exciting role, you will leverage an ecosystem of partner capability and internal resources to  deliver end-to-end solutions for our customers. You will also be the customer’s trusted advisor and principal point-of-contact for all aspects of IT Services Transformation. 

Job details

Build personal relationships with Sales SMEs and C-Level customers to ensure early engagement in customers’ problem-and-solution determination process
Ensure that customer expectations are appropriately set and managed
Lead technical project teams in the delivery of consulting service offerings
Final accountability for editing and sign off on project deliverables
Presentation of deliverables to client executive management
Technology thought leader and evangelist
Maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of the current and anticipated future state of the IT infrastructure marketplace including IT infrastructure trends, technologies, and standards
Coordinate internal resources/stakeholders, third parties/vendors as well as interfacing customer for the flawless execution of large solution projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders (internal and external) and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders (internal or partner)
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain weekly project tracking meetings with subcontracted vendors in the regions.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Achieve customer delight and loyalty, and upsell additional solutions and services 
Support the overall Services growth target in assigned geography.

Basic Qualifications

Great educational background and experience, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers
Proven working experience in project management and solution consulting, in the information technology sector
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in IT infrastructure projects
Results oriented individual with high degree of autonomy and pro-active mentality
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
PMP is desirable but not mandatory
Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions during project delivery
Proven experience in technical consulting roles
Strong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity
Proven team player and team builder
Language requirement: Japanese and English fluent communication skills
