Role Description

We are looking for a talented Sales Manager to play a key role, leading highly visible and motivated sales executives in our Key Account & SMB Sales Team ( KASMB) in Malaysia with responsibilities including :

  • To meet Revenue, Profitability and Expense targets for Malaysia
  • Plan and execute AP growth strategies with focus on Solution Selling
  • Responsible for Lead, Coach, Mentor Sales Team
  • Align with internal stakeholders like CAP segment leaders, CAP leadership team and others to execute Growth Plan for ISG Biz in Malaysia

Your Impact

We are looking to hire someone who will have responsibility for managing a sales team of Account Executives in the Malaysia office within our expanding CAP ( Central Asia Pacific)  operation.

  • Supporting Account Executives by participating and leading in client meetings and engaging other corporate resources as required. 
  • Ongoing mentoring and development of sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training duties. 
  • Conducting weekly revenue forecast meetings for respective territories. 
  • Coach and professionally develop Account Executives regarding strategies to drive closure rates and opportunity identification. 
  • Reporting on sales activity and revenue forecast. 
  • Consistently monitoring and enhancing the sales activities of the team. 
  • Develop the Go To Market strategy for the respective territory. 
  • Identify hiring and competency / skills gaps in Sales team. 
  • Build relationships at a senior level with decision-makers and influencers in the key Malaysia customers with focus on Government Agencies, Large Enterprises, Telecom Providers & Commercial White Space
  • Identify opportunities for New Customer Acquisition, Competition win-backs, Expand Share of Wallet within existing Install Base and channel partners.
  • Build / Execute a Strategic (Long Range) & Tactical (Short to Mid Term) Growth Plan for Malaysia Market Develop penetrating sales strategies for profit and pricing proposals
  • Connect with C Level within Customers & Key Stakeholders within Enterprise, Government & Commercial Customers
  • Represent Lenovo ISG POV with Key Partner Stakeholders on Why & What & How to Partner
  • Relationships with Key Technology Alliance Partners like VMW, Red Hat, MSFT, Veeam
  • Engage with Internal Specialist Teams to build Relationships with Key GSI’s & CSP/MSP
  • Conversant with Sales Methodologies & Execute Weekly Cadence with Team (BMS) & Regular QBR/ MBR with Key Partners including Distributors

Requirements

  • Strong demonstrated and proven 15+ Years of sales & sales Management experience.
  • Demonstrated people management experience of a sales team of 5+ reps. 
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing management theories. 
  • Solid understanding of Lenovo ISG Portfolio offerings and the business value we offer our customers. 
  • Solution Selling Exposure across Various Industries with focus on IT Infrastructure
  • Ability to work in a Large Matrix Organization yet demonstrate Owner’s Mindset
