Description and Requirements

Do you aspire to become a part of the Italian Smartphone Marketing team of one of the world’s largest IT companies that choose to be different and better? Can you help us to reach our ambitious goals? You as our new Retail Trade Marketing Senior Specialist for Smartphones will join our local Lenovo Motorola team. You will report to our Head of Marketing who is based in Milan, supporting the local marketing activities in Italy.

These will be your detailed responsibilities:

  • Continuously innovate to develop winning marketing campaigns to achieve country objectives (e.g. financial targets; brand metrics; team objectives; carrier, retailer and distributor plans etc.)
  • Present marketing plans, propositions and strategies internally for approval, and externally to aid sell-in
  • Strengthen Motorola / Lenovo brand awareness, consideration and purchase intent with consumers and retail recommendation rates with trade partners. Track and improve marketing metrics
  • Manage, administer and track all marketing budgets within the country
  • Motivate and challenge local Marketing team and agency resource
  • Collaboration and strong teamwork with other members of the Motorola country team including Sales, Finance, Business Operations and Product. Align with global and regional teams
  • Lead development of marketing and communication strategies for other markets in the region that have similar market dynamics or partners where required

More activities will include:

  • Develop specific account marketing strategies in collaboration with GTM account managers, including launch and sell–through program
  • Innovation - ability and proven track record of driving innovation/disruption in the business and the business model
  • Plan, transcreate and execute all relevant marketing communication materials in alignment with global brand guidelines
  • Build strong relationships with all relevant partner organizations
  • Provide stakeholder with regular marketing information and presentations as required
  • Plan and execute all account related events and trade shows
  • Responsible for aligning country and account specific PR and Social Media projects with PR team
  • Help EMEA and Region Marketing leaders understand levers and improve their efficiency

What you will bring / Position Requirements:
  • Ideally 5 Years experience of marketing in a global tech-oriented business, with marketing activities including strategy and planning, campaign development, sell-in propositions, development of training materials, traditional and digital advertising, social media, merchandising, transcreation, and budget development and control
  • Senior level experience in a matrixed brand management structure, and of working successfully across borders and cultures
  • Ability to influence and follow through successful plans within large, dynamic organization
  • Track record of managing and growing a successful marketing team of large scope, complexity and geography
  • Comprehensive understanding of the latest marketing trends at the ‘first-3-feet’ and ‘last-3-feet’
  • Interface at a senior management level, clearly able to articulate and win approval for conceptual ideas

  • The successful candidate needs to be fluent in English and Italian 
This is a 1 year contract.
