What You’ll Do:
We are hiring a high energy individual to join the Lenovo WW Storage team as a Product Manager for software defined storage (SDS) solutions. This position will join an established team and lead definition and delivery of new SDS offerings. This position will work closely with technology partners and multifunctional Lenovo teams to drive innovation, evangelize customer value, and lead solution enablement and positioning for SDS offerings. The position will both own the solution definition and the enablement with the sales teams to maximize customer value. This position is expected to drive new perspectives and thought leadership for Lenovo Storage.
The successful candidate will have enterprise storage and/or data management skills and experience in one of the following areas: development, technical sales, support, and/or product management. This position will work across teams to understand and deliver customer value with scale out storage solutions. Success will require not only defining new solutions but evangelizing those solutions to Lenovo sellers, business partners and customers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop deep understanding of the storage business and customer requirements
- Drive advanced functional requirements and improvements into product delivery
- Define, develop, and document end to end data management solutions
- Be a thought leader across functional and peer teams and alliance partners
- Work with internal teams and industry partners to develop and deliver workload based solutions
- Engage with customers and business partners to solution challenges
- Develop enablement for Lenovo Sellers and Business Partners
The Ideal candidate will possess the following experience:
- Bachelor Degree in a technical/computer or marketing related field
- At least 8 years of professional experience as a product manager or similar role
- At least 4 years of Storage or data management IT experience
- Knowledge of SDS or HCI architectures
- Proven analytical and business skills
- Proven experience in a multi-cultural team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
