About the Role

Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is seeking to hire a highly motivated and experienced procurement specialist with education and experience in procurement and supplier management in the data center environment. In this position you will be part of Lenovo’s ISG Software Procurement team responsible for managing parts, reporting shipments, and ensuring accurate payments for Lenovo’s portfolio of internal and third-party software offerings.


Responsibilities

As part of the ISG Software Procurement Team, this position will have the following responsibilities:

  • Managing software royalty price lists with varying formats.
  • Creating internal and external audit-ready reports on a periodic basis.
  • Analyzing complex data to identify gaps, issues, and inconsistencies.
  • Developing creative solutions to “high-touch” supplier requirements by collaborating with other ISG process teams. 
  • Interfacing with Lenovo cross-functional teams to understand their software requirements.
  • Reporting regular status at cross-functional status meetings and reporting status to management and senior management (as required).
  • Data analysis and accuracy are critical in this role.

Position Requirements

To qualify the candidate must possess the following experience and skills:

  • BA/BS or higher
  • 5+ years in sales analysis and business operations preferably for a technology company
  • Experience with CRM and SAP
  • Working knowledge in the following areas:
  • SAP fulfillment;
  • Product announcement and engineering change process;
  • Financial accounting and reconciliation principles;
  • Data analysis across complex relational databases.  
  • Demonstrable proficiency in relational reporting tools such as Hyperion, SQL, SQL Database Queries and Microsoft Excel, as well as being skilled in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and Access. 
  • Self-motivated and directed with established organizational ability.
  • Prioritization skills with the ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to summarize detailed data from multiple sources for management summary, while determining data patterns and discrepancies. 
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
  • Strong skills with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Very strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
