Description and Requirements

We are hiring for an Online Operations - Security Analyst Intern to collaborate with the Lenovo online operations team focusing on discovery, analysis and management of security vulnerabilities across Lenovo platforms.

You will be involved with all aspects of the operations and development life cycle. You will Interact with Corporate Security, DevOps, and Biz leads to drive awareness of vulnerabilities and provide insights and recommendations on process improvements to mitigate these.

Responsibilities Include

  • Analysis on existing and identification of new vulnerabilities
  • Provide Weekly threat assessment and progress with mitigation of open threats
  • Provide Proof of concepts on how the threat was discovered
  • Working with corporate security to verify bug bounty findings
  • Collaborate with development teams on OWASP standards and how to mitigate threats.
     

Basic Requirements: 

  • Working experience of web technologies - Java, HTTP, JavaScript, TLS
  • Understanding of Web Architecture - CDN, WAF, Firewalls, Protocols, API Gateways, Token Auth
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of OWASP and Web Penetration Testing
  • Excellent listening and communications skills, including written and verbal
  • Constant attention to detail, creative thinking and working under tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to handle assignments in various states of completion at the same time
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable goals
  • You thrive on collaboration, working side by side with developers and business users of all backgrounds and disciplines, and you have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have some awareness of knowledge representation and reasoning.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled and working towards a BA or MA degree in information security, computer science, mathematics or related field
  • GPA: 3.5 or above
  • Experience with large-scale online eCommerce application is a plus
