Role & Team Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Motorola Mobility's Platform Security Team as a Security Engineer with a focus on platform and enterprise security! Our Security Engineers are passionate about delivering world class secure devices that protect our customers data and enable new features and experiences. We develop and integrate platform security features into new devices, develop Enterprise security solutions, work closely with hardware and software development teams to identify security threats and mitigations, drive secure software development practices in the organization, lead security incident management and response, and develop infrastructure and tools that support our core security features and review processes.
Scope of Responsibilities
As a Security Engineer on our team, you will work with our Platform Security and Product teams to implement platform security solutions that align with our product portfolio. This will include a combination of software development, supporting security certification efforts, secure code reviews, and platform/solution analysis from a security perspective. A successful candidate will have a passion for security, with a development background in mobile/embedded security related technology, coupled with strong communication, documentation, and time management skills.
Basic Qualifications
BS/MS degree in CS, EE, or a related engineering discipline
5+ years experience in cybersecurity, mobile software R&D
Understanding of Android OS, mobile security architecture, mobile SoC’s
Proficient in one or more of the following: Java, Kotlin, C, C++, Python
Familiarity with cryptography and application of cryptographic protocols
Knowledge of mobile platform security threats and mitigation strategies
Familiarity with security testing tools and techniques
Fluent/Advanced English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing Enterprise security solutions including EMM/MDM solutions
Experience in Android Application Development
Experience in product security certifications such as FIPS, Common Criteria
Security certification(s) such as CISSP
Security certification(s) such as CISSP
