Description and Requirements

This position is for a Security Software Engineer in the Security Center of Excellence for the Global PC and Smart Device Business Unit (PCSD). This is an exciting role that will give you the opportunity to work on a custom project for Security engineers to track metrics and the quality of an array of security tools. You will be writing interfaces with security tools’ APIs. You’ll then take this data and sort, reformat, and display it on a custom dashboard for Security Engineers to determine the security posture of our products. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the best coding practices and work with the security team.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop interfaces for security tools’ APIs to collect and process data
  • Sort, reformat, and display data on a custom dashboard for Security Engineers to determine the security posture of our products
  • Learn and implement best coding practices while collaborating with the security team
  • Collaborate with multiple internal organizations across regions and communicate effectively with strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficient in JavaScript and other relevant programming languages
  • Basic knowledge of security, development, and network infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Atlassian, CI/CD and DevOps tools.
  • Familiarity with AppSec and development security.
  • Knowledge of OWASP and other industry security standards.
  • Security-related certifications, including Security+, SySA+, SSCP, etc.
  • Previous related work experience.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can work independently or as part of a team, take initiative and ownership in a fast-paced environment
  • Quick learner with the ability to understand multiple security disciplines
