Description and Requirements

Position Description:
The Public Sector Segment Manager is a key player in driving marketing initiatives aimed at K12, HiEd, SLG, and Federal customers. This position collaborates with a team of marketing individuals and works closely with our North American sales and product marketing organizations to understand business and marketing goals and objectives. The Public Sector Marketing Manager oversees the development and execution of the Public Sector marketing plan to achieve those objectives and drive overall segment growth.


Responsibilities: 
•Partner with sales and category teams to understand segment priorities and goals 
•Define the end-to-end segment strategy and document in annual and quarterly marketing briefs 
•Establish supporting marketing objectives and KPIs and coordinate with across supporting teams to ensure alignment •Own overall NA Segment target audience framework and messaging 
•Own the “Why Lenovo” for Public Sector story and ensure strategy and content clearly articulate that value proposition •Partner with the Marketing Center of Excellence on planning and execution of campaigns to ensure PS audiences are represented and marketing goals are met 
•Enable direct and channel sales force with audience insights, campaign strategy, and specific collateral to effectively support the go-to-market strategy 
•Manage the quarterly marketing budget and associated operational activities 
•Works closely with the lead development and the inside sales teams to ensure alignment on strategy, definitions, targets, reporting views, and results 
•Educate sales and channel partners about marketing opportunities, best practices, and techniques 

Requirements:
•Cultivate and share segment insights with relevant marketing teams at a NA and WW level Position Requirements 
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or related field 
•5-7 years of B2B Marketing experience for a hardware and/or technology company; public sector marketing experience is required 

Skills:
•Demonstrated ability to think creatively 
•Extensive experience building integrated go-to-marketing strategies and marketing campaigns 
•Direct experience executing key go-to-market field tactics such as sales enablement creation, channel co-marketing programs, promotions, sales training, etc. 
•Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail 
•Previous budget management experience required 
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
•Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with both internal and external customers 
•Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to operate on a wide range of topics and projects at one time 
•Strong analytical and quantitative capability to determine program effectiveness, ROI, etc.
