Description and Requirements

The primary objective of the Channel Services sales Specialist is to work directly with a selected list of Lenovo’s Platinum Business Partner to drive and support the Services Sales increase in the German Channel market. Dedicated Region and Business Partner assignment will be primarily in south and central Germany, business related events and traveling will across GAT Region. The Channel Services Sales Specialist will be the “go to” person for all Services & Solutions related topics in and for the Channel Sales Teams with the additional focus of developing new Solutions and further existing Solutions around Deployment and Software Products. Expected is to develop and enable new Sales motions within the organization.

As an expert of Lenovo’s Services & Solutions, he / she will be the generalist bandmaster to focus and drive the collaboration of all internal Lenovo’s stakeholders, as well as Business Partners stakeholders in the aim of increasing both the visibility and revenue of the Lenovo Services Solutions and add beneficial Value to the Business Partner Business.

The Channel Services Sales Specialist will be Part of the EMEA wide Channel Services Sales Team and reporting to the EMEA Channel Services Sales Manager and will work closely with local Channel Management in developing Service business with Channel Partner and MidMarket Customers.

On top of the full portfolio of Services and Solutions, the entrepreneurship and development of new services and solutions driven areas (such as Software/Security and/or “as a Services” business) will be one of the key Area for the future innovative Lenovo Strategy and Business Success. This role will act as a Focal point for Deployment solutions and Software focused Topics in the Services Sales Team and will be developing new solutions (Incubation Areas) and Managed Service Offering.

Create new Business Collaborations and identify Blind Spots in Lenovo Key Business Areas will be appreciated as well and seen as part of the role as a Services Sales Specialist at Lenovo.


Responsibilities included but not limited to will be:

  • Create and manage a business plan in collaboration with the Channel team to increase both visibility and revenue of the Lenovo Services sales.
  • Act as a single point of contact for the Sales/Channel community providing support to the Business Partner.
  • Support MidMarket End Customers on Deployment Solutions on Calls and Meetings
  • Key Interaction and collaboration with German MidMarket/Enterprise and Public Sector/Channel sales team, delivery team, operations team and marketing are essential for success.
  • Provide trainings across the assigned Business Partners – including Services briefings, Services solutions training, focus days.
  • Consult with prospects (both Channel Partner and mid-sized customers) and clients to gain a thorough understanding of their issues and objectives with regards to Services and Maintenance business and support internal and external sales force in all services proposals.
  • Prepare and follow all marketing activities within you Business Partners such as (but not limited to) Incentives, challenges, blitz days.
  • Act as a Services expert and participate in internal and external calls with both internal Channel Sales and Business Partner’s sales to promote Lenovo Services Solutions and provide clear and accurate reports.
  • Create and build the self-confidence within the Channel Sales Team to see and understand Lenovo as a Solution Provider for our Channel Partners.
  • Provide reporting and tracking of the Business Partner Sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Create and Manage a valid Forecast and keep track and measurement of the results.

Position Requirements:

  • Think “out of the box” attitude and proactive leadership is an essential part of your success.
  • Must be comfortable dealing with all levels of Management both internally and externally.
  • Strong collaboration attitude and team-work mindset.
  • 4+ years’ experience in Deployment Solutions (mainly Microsoft Autopilot)
  • Be able to develop new Solutions in cooperation with other parts of the organization
  • Entrepreneurship and innovative thinking, as well as self-confidence and positive attitude are needed as characteristics.
  • Achieving assigned targets and aspirations.
  • Proactively look out for new Services Opportunities.
  • Drive to increase Services Penetration rate within your accounts.
  • Provide timely and responsive replies to all requests and ensure effective communication of issues to senior Manager within both Lenovo and your Business Partners.
  • Maintain an up to date sales pipeline.
  • Closely monitor competitor activity in your accounts.
  • Fluent German and English Business skills are a must
  • 6+ years’ experience Experience in Services and Solutions Sales, Channel experience and networking qualities and experience
  • High self-motivation and will to engage and align with specialists to team up for the Services Team and Lenovo Success.

The position can be based in the office or home-office. Preferably, candidates should live in South Germany.
