Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to work in Lenovo’s Product Security Office. This individual will be responsible for maintaining Lenovo’s Secure Development Lifecycle (LSDL) methodology, defining corporate standards, and working with business units to implement LSDL.

What You'll Do 

  • Maintain and improve Lenovo secure development lifecycle methodology
  • Align LSDL with industry best practices
  • Ensure LSDL compliance with emerging product security law & regulation
  • Define and maintain software security design, development, and deployment guidelines and standards
  • Research future security technologies and provide migration roadmap for Lenovo business unit
  • Assist business units with implementation of LSDL
  • Promote secure development practices throughout Lenovo

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of software development, architecture, or related experience
  • Experience developing or adopting software security best practices
  • 3+ years of experience in technical program management on security or software engineering programs or related experience managing complex projects
  • Ability to work independently as well as function as an integral part of a team, and take initiative and ownership in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Expert knowledge of Secure Development Lifecycle methodology and secure development best practices
  • Strong understanding of software product security issues and mitigations
  • Understanding of laws and regulations affecting product security
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity threats, countermeasures, and issues
  • Good understanding of the Lenovo organization and ability to successfully work across regions and functions to solve problems and get things done
  • Related industry certifications such as GIAC, CISA and/or CISSP, CSSLP
  • PMI or PMP certification
