Lenovo is looking for a highly skilled and experienced pre-sales professional who can help drive significant growth for the South Australia business by selling complex, multi-element solutions to mid-market and large organizations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent consultative and technology selling, presentation, and communication skills across servers, applications, storage, network, and convergence. The candidate must also have a deep understanding of the IT marketplace, market dynamics, and trends in support of advanced data center technologies, especially converged, hyper-converged, and software-defined solutions.

The ideal candidate should also have a proven track record of success in working with channel partners and infrastructure technology partners including VMware, Nutanix, Intel, AMD and Microsoft. The successful candidate should be comfortable influencing CxOs, IT Directors, Systems Managers, IT Managers, etc. and possess strong solutions-focused selling expertise for specific technologies based around a combination of server, virtualization, networking, storage technologies and associated services.

The role requires a self-starter who can work with little supervision, deliver the business value of Lenovo solutions, develop and expand customer relationships, and position "end-to-end" solutions and articulate Lenovo product and service strategies to senior customer executives. The successful candidate must also be able to clearly present solutions with peers, management, senior executives, and customers using a Win/Win philosophy.

As a senior sales engineer your responsibilities will also include:

Working with potential customers to understand their technical requirements, business needs, and pain points. Collaborating with internal technical teams to design and present custom solutions to customers, based on their unique needs. Conducting product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to showcase Lenovo's data center solutions. Developing and presenting proposals, technical designs, and statements of work (SOWs) to customers, with the goal of winning new business. Providing technical guidance and support to sales teams, channel partners, and customers throughout the sales cycle. Building and maintaining relationships with technical decision makers at customer organisations, to understand their evolving needs and identify new opportunities. Staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends, technologies, and competitive offerings, in order to provide informed recommendations to customers. Continuously improving technical knowledge of Lenovo's infrastructure solutions and their applications and use cases, allowing you to better serve customers.

Overall, the pre-sales responsibilities for this job involve working closely with customers and internal teams to design and present customised solutions that meet the customers' needs, while also staying up-to-date on industry trends and providing technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.
