Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Sr. Solution Consultant for Germany North (focus NRW/HH/NS) to join our Enterprise sales team and manage all presales activities for select German and International Strategic Accounts.

The Sr. Solution Consultant works proactively with the most senior decision makers in our strategic accounts and our most senior internal stakeholders to ensure the appropriate portfolio of Lenovo products, services and software is architected to solve the complex business challenges our clients face and to close sales opportunities.

You will be the evangelist for our solutions and map Lenovo’s portfolio to our clients’ strategies. You will provide thought leadership and be the expert on industry trends to both your clients and other Lenovo sales teams.

Your engagement clients will lead to new and innovative solutions - so you must have an exceptional consultative and collaborative mindset.

You will also be passionate about customer experience and will work with both the client and customer success manager to ensure sales expectations are met.

You will actively participate in customer meetings and serve as an evangelist and coordinator for the pursuit team. You will hold yourself and others accountable to established standards in customer excellence.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Forward-thinking Trusted Advisor who anticipates industry trends and influences decision makers to evaluate and choose Lenovo solutions.
  • Account Executives technical "buddy" working in pair on the account planning and costumer engagement strategy.
  • Working with the core selling team of Account Executives and Internal Account Manager, the Sr. Solution Consultant will be involved in all relevant opportunities.
  • Reporting to the Sr. Sales Manager North and in the internal ratio to the Strategic Sales Team Leader EMEA, he coordinates with the Account Executive as well as business unit Special Matter Experts team (SME), Business Analysts (BA) and Customer Engagement Team (CX) to expand solution selling opportunities and address customer needs and solve business problems.
  • While the Account Executive and internal Account Manager will combine the right core offerings of Hardware, Software and Services, the Sr. Solution Consultant will identify further services and software components to create a more robust solution, translating into higher margins and even higher customer satisfaction (CX).
  • The Sr. Solution Consultant develop the opportunity and orchestrate the engagement of all necessary staff depending on the customer project requirements.
  • Depending on the customer situation the Sr. Solution Consultant will be single point of contact to the Lenovo Specialists, Customer Engagement Team (CX) and Business Analyst (BA).
  • The Sr. Solution Consultant will develop trust and rapport with IT staff and will be engaged by the Account Executive on projects beyond Lenovo´s core business, enhancing the qualification of customer needs, and translating the proposal's components into customer benefits, and how they integrate into the customers infrastructure.

Position Requirements / Work Experience:
  • Several years 7+ of experience in the IT services business (IT system partner, IT service provider or outsourcer) or experience gained through many years of involvement with a large company in the workplace and/or IT infrastructure department.
  • Experience working in or with technology leaders/senior decision makers in solving technology challenges and influencing decisions on client, server, services decisions, people management experience is a plus.
  • High levels of business and financial acumen and the ability to apply critical thinking in identifying value propositions for clients.
  • Experience in development of a keen understanding of the customer’s organization; research and investigate customer market trends and innovations and leverage digital channels to gather insights about customers and their markets.
  • Gather perspectives from a range of stakeholders to gain insight into the customer's strategic priorities.
  • Experience in identifying the potential impact of market trends on the customer's strategy and creating a compelling vision that persuades and influences customers.
  • May be a specific vertical expert or work large enterprise accounts and aids in standardization and best practices efforts for solution selling that can cascade up and down the solution selling efforts of Lenovo.
  • Listens and asks questions to the customer beyond the core discussion to understand the pain points organizational directions. Brings forward insights, trends, and best practices to customers to demonstrate the benefits of the solution to the customer and participate in the creation of ROI cases.
  • Good technology knowledge in modern workplace technologies (Devices as a Services, deployment solutions, e.g., Microsoft Azure, Workspace One and MDM, security-based software -solutions and other solutions) is the prerequisite for successful consulting.
  • The willingness to follow market trends and to learn and work on new solution concepts to address issues is very important. Lenovo offers extensive training and certification in this area.
  • Data center technologies are also in the focus of our customers as solutions. Understanding the technologies or even having a background helps to support the Lenovo 3S strategy.
