Description and Requirements

Lenovo is currently looking for an experienced Services Business Development Manager for the Telco & Consulting Verticals within the Global Accounts segment. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling an expanding services and solutions portfolio to selected global customers across North America. Successful candidates will work with Lenovo’s Industry Solutions team and technical organization to own end-to-end sales engagement for customers.  The candidate will also evaluate customer opportunities as presented in Request for Purchases/ Request for Quotations  (RFPs/RFQs) or engagements from the Services and Hardware Sales teams and use this information to manage the end-to-end sales engagement process to ensure we meet the customer’s requirements. Lenovo solutions can include Services, Hardware, Software, Security, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and additional 3rd Party Services from Global System Integrators and Lenovo Business partners.

This is a client-facing sales role requiring both end-user computing and data center infrastructure services and solutions sales experience (preferably within the Telco and/or Consulting Industries), as well as the ability to identify, cultivate, and close net-new business, and expertise in working large deals at the C-Level.   We are looking for a seller with an "acquisition/hunter" type of mentality, and a proven track record to take their career and our Telco/Consulting Services & Solutions practice to the next level.

Main Responsibilities

  • Attain revenue and margin goals through driving new business and evangelizing Lenovo’s ever-expanding portfolio of services and solutions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and provide leadership in a growing business.
  • Drive the voice of the customer within services for manufacturing solution needs.
  • Partner across multiple organizations including, but not limited to, sales; finance; service delivery; customers, and business partners, and lead all elements of the services sales cycle.
  • Develop, implement, and execute an effective sales strategy to achieve sales goals.
  • Develop C-level relationships and serve as a trusted consultant to customers.
  • Understand and adapt to Lenovo’s ongoing product and services developments. 
  • Lead a cross-functional team within the company to keep deals moving through the funnel.
  • Ensure that our customers receive world-class sales and customer service.
  • Define framework to manage long-term strategy & forecasting by effectively and consistently using Microsoft Dynamics and other reporting tools to track key sales metrics and consistently meet those metrics.

Travel estimated at 40%

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. 

·     Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Services & Solutions experience and a positive tracking record across both End-User and Data-Center environments
  • Solution selling experience in designing solutions for customer needs, Statement of Work (SOW) creation, Business Development, Professional Services, Project Management and/or IT Services operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT client infrastructures, application architecture associated hardware deployment practices and the ability to generate and communicate associated services value propositions.
  • Strong understanding of Telco technology needs, trends, and go-to-market strategies
  • Proven success in selling Services & Solutions in the IT industry for F500 companies
  • Strategic mindset and sound business acumen are required, along with effective decision making, contract negotiation, and partner management skills
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written, and polished presentation skills
  • Strong prioritization skills, attention to detail, commitment to deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Proven ability to operate with a high level of professionalism, entrepreneurialism and agility
  • Demonstrated ability to work across all levels of the organization with a teaming attitude.
  • Solution Consulting experience

The base salary range for this position in Colorado, New York City, Nevada and Washington, is $115,000 - $140,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com
