Description and Requirements
As an integral member of the Shock & Vibration / Package design team, the engineer will be responsible for:
• Evaluate mechanical structure professionally via FEA tools (Abaqus/ANSYS, LS-Dyna and Hyperworks), and offer effective design risk assessment.
• Deliver mechanical structure analysis reports, and the mitigation solution/plan to resolve structure defect.
• Develop reliable, cost-effective structure solution timely for server/storage/rack devices.
• Lead validation test includes material preparation, system setup, and schedule tracking. Plan and execute reliability testing via structure equipment (Shock Table, Vibration Table, Package Drop Machine, spectrum analyzer and relative equipment, etc…).
• Create and optimize structure relative Guide/Spec/SOP.
• Work with customers closely to understand customer requirement and concerns, provide solid solutions.
Requirement:
• BS or MS degree in mechanical engineer, mechanics/structure or equivalent experience beyond.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical development, structure analysis, RV and FEA with solid performance
• Familiar with server and rack products.
• Familiar with reliability validation testing and the industry spec in the mechanical structure field.
• Familiar with vibration theorem and enable for spectrum analysis by acquisition facility.
• Strong communication skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong relationship management skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently in a lab environment.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across many levels of a matrix organization under pressure.
