The Lenovo Smart Collaboration Team is seeking an experienced Product Planner to join us as we transform the workplace with our innovative collaboration solutions. In this role you will be responsible for ideating and defining the next generation product portfolio. The position will include market analysis, product features definition, product positioning, value proposition, and setting/achieving financial objectives.  This position will report to the Worldwide CTO for Smart Collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all phases of new product introduction, including but not limited to - initial strategy, product concepts, market needs analysis, high level requirements, etc…
  • Industry expertise in all things collaboration and hybrid work
  • Develop and manage long term product roadmaps, tied to industry and customer needs analysis
  • Drive early phase product  ideation ensuring product vision, industry needs, and competitive requirements are all represented
  • Represent Smart Collaboration business unit as a member of various teams (located in global locations) to achieve time, cost, product feature & innovation objectives
  • Identify business/industry trends in the collaboration space; scan competitive landscape; analyze market data to support Smart Collaboration financial objectives
  • Work closely with technology vendors and partners to understand technology trends, product roadmaps,
  • Work closely with GEO/Country product management teams to create, go to market plans, enablement and demand gen activities
We are open to this role being remote but candidates within east or central time zone are preferred.  Our NA HQ is based in Raleigh, NC. 

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years Product Management experience within collaboration industry
  • Strong virtual team and extensive cross-group coordination/collaboration and partnership skills
  • Proven track record on creating enterprise products for mature & emerging market requirements at a global technology company
  • Analytical, critical thinker capable of collecting clear/concise data from multiple sources accompanied with strong business writing, product presentation skills, analytical and business math competencies, and knowledge of computer programs (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred
  • Detail-oriented with proficient product/project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers, senior management, and other functional groups
  • Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing work environment - balance multiple projects / initiatives
  • Superior communication skills – oral, written and presentation skills with management and peers
  • Self-motivated with drive, enthusiasm, and commitment with the ability to work proactively and autonomously
