Description and Requirements

Employer: FCNT, LLC
Work location: Sanki-Yamato Building, 7-10-1 Chuo-rinkan, Yamato, Kanagawa
Smoking: Not allowed in the office
Employment condition: Permanent Staff (Probation period: 6 months)

Overtime allowance: Discretionary labor system, so not applicable
Expected salary: Depending on the current salary and experience of candidate
Working hours: 9:15-18:00 (Rest time: 1 hour (12:00-13:00))

About Organization
The Software Development Division is the R&D department at FCNT LLC, a Lenovo Group company, responsible for developing smartphone software and related cloud services.
We develop new software technologies and softwares for FCNT's products and services. Our mission is to use software technology to evolve products and improve their performance and quality.

The Software PM's job is to provide leadership to those involved in product development, whether they are within the company, the Lenovo Group, or partners, and to achieve the product's quality, cost, and delivery goals.
At the same time, they also serve as a communication liaison with customers.

Roles and responsibilities:
We expect the candidate to perform the following tasks, but will be flexible in deciding based on the candidate's suitability.
-As the software PM leader for the model in charge, you will work with the product PM and development department (in-house/Lenovo Group/partner) to formulate development schedules/test schedules, coordinate schedules with the development department, and manage issues.
-You will formulate evaluation plans to improve product quality, manage the progress of evaluations and bug fixes, and identify and resolve issues.
-You will act as the technical liaison with customers (mainly carriers), making product proposals and sharing the progress of product development.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications(必須要件):
-5+ years of experience in managing large-scale development projects
-5+ years of experience in customer relations
- Specialized knowledge/skills related to software development
- Fluent Japanese communication skills (logical communication skills, negotiation skills)
- Business-level English skills (development discussions)

Preferred Qualifications(尚可条件):
-Software design/coding experience (3+ years)
-Chinese communication skills

Ideal Candidate
- Experience in software development project management, the ability to logically explain development and quality status to Japanese customers, and the ability to discuss with global development teams in English or Chinese.
* Experience leading development teams around the world is desirable (not required)
