Who You'll Work With

Lenovo's data center solutions (ThinkSystem, ThinkAgile) are creating the capacity and computing power for the connections that are changing business and society.
What You'll Do
You will be part of Lenovo’s Personal Computing and Smart Device Technology Office, which is a centralized team responsible for applied research, advanced technology, and architecture, supporting Lenovo’s devices and software businesses. We focus on delivering industry leading devices and rapidly expanding into services and solutions.
We’re looking for a cloud services software architect to help drive and architect efforts associated with those initiatives. We are looking for seasoned Cloud Architect with strong expertise in the following:
- Public cloud infrastructure- AWS and AZURE
- In-depth knowledge of creating reusable components around microservices and Rest endpoints
- Designing scalable solutions that meet expected SLA requirements
We want someone who has a strong passion to deliver high-quality products and solve challenging technical real-world problems. You can make a difference by working with cross-functional teams including system design, client software, HW design and driver teams to measure, analyze and help to optimize the performance at both the system level and in algorithm pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design state-of-the-art cloud architecture solutions based on Public (AWS/Azure) and Private cloud infrastructures
- Lead and drive key cloud architecture initiatives related to the UDS Cloud Platform and associated SaaS/PaaS solutions
- Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud architecture across multiple infrastructures and solutions and become a trusted advisor to development teams, product managers, and executive teams
- Ensure adoption & conformance of the technical design and architecture principles
- Directly work with key stakeholders to architect outstanding cloud solutions
- Support the Agile development life cycle
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
- 7+ years of experience designing Cloud Architecture and Solutions based on Public or Private Cloud Infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Agile software development
- Strong problem-solving skills, hands-on individual
- Knowledge of securing endpoints/API
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps in Agile environment
- Masters/Phd preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the current state of the art for infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL/NewSQL, networking, and cloud-based delivery models.
- AWS certifications are a big plus
- Experience in all aspects of cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data), as well as cloud market and competitive dynamics
- Experience architecting solutions around microservices and rest endpoints
- Properly managing PII to comply with government and company policies
