The Software Certification Product specialist is at the foundation of the Lenovo product enablement process, ensuring that Lenovo servers are certified with the leading OS and Hypervisors. Your role is crucial in the complete server lifecycle to ensure solutions performance and end customer satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to improve your collaboration and negotiations skills, while working with a truly global team.
An ideal candidate has the ability to work with a diverse team and can communicate effectively being culturally sensitive and assertive. They are result oriented and enjoy solving complex challenges and negotiating with different teams to ensure the correct deliverables at the OS general availability time or server launching time.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the overall OS & Hypervisor certification during the complete server lifecycle.
· Defines support level statement for the different OS vendors.
· Creates and maintain the OS & hypervisor roadmap.
· Manages the OS requirements for the different enablement processes.
· Tracks project status and solves for bumps in the road.
· Makes sure all the deliverables are prepared for a specific date and/or negotiates for a satisfactory target.
· Collaborates with different teams and they specific OS requirements to support specific solutions.
· Supports the different geographies for end customer needs or specific requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years in product/program management or software development. (or equivalent experience)
· Effective communications skills for a multicultural team.
· Great negotiation skills and highly resilient.
· Solid project management, leadership and cross-group collaboration skills.
· Ability to analyze complex problems, think critically, and create innovative solutions.
· Adept at managing and maintaining relationships between multifunctional team members.
· Technical background is preferable but not fundamental
