ISG Tools and Transformation is looking for an experienced software developer to join our team in Mexico. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly learn the current software design of existing tools and be able to make enhancements based on user experience as well as changing business needs. English language proficiency is preferred due to interaction requirements with teams worldwide.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can enhance and support the development tools used to improve efficiency and quality for ISG. The Software Developer will be responsible for maintaining and updating one or more of our ISG Tools used to support teams worldwide. Candidates for this position need to be experienced in working with SQL and well-versed in APIs and database models. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and strong problem-solving and communication skills in addition to a software development background.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be asked to perform activities such as:

  • Providing ISG Tool support including the debugging and resolution of defects found by users.
  • Engaging with the Project Management team to understand longer-term requirements.
  • Collaborating with other team members for future enhancements.
  • Educating users on ISG Tools including getting feedback on planned improvements.
  • Updating and enhancing the external web used by our clients to get software updates and information about our many servers.

Position Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree level education or greater in Software or Computer Engineering.
  • Fundamental knowledge of PostgreSQL or other structured query languages.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python or similar coding languages like HTML, PowerShell, batch y bash.
  • 2 years of experience with Application Programming Interfaces and database structures.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written) in English language, any other language is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks, tracking and updating opportunities correctly.
