Description and Requirements

Our team is developing the next-generation solution for Lenovo's data center systems management.
We are seeking a highly motivated engineer with strong skills in software development and cloud-native technologies.
As a Software Engineer you will join our on-premises management hub team, which is developing a platform to provide the following services:
- Manage hardware infrastructure.
- Orchestrate software updates and configurations for data center servers.
- Provision virtualized workloads in various bare-metal clusters.
- Deploy the latest observability technologies to automate monitoring and capacity planning.
- Provide innovative support capabilities, including automatic problem detection and troubleshooting.

You will report to Software Development Manager based in Romania and become part of a small project team.

What is required to be successful candidate?

- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Experience in Kubernetes application development, CKAD certification is a plus.
- Experience with service meshes, e.g., Istio, Linkerd, Consul.
- Proven ability to write complex applications in any of the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, Python, Go; REST API development is a plus.
- Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, containerd, cri-o, or podman.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like KVM, HyperV, or VMware.
- Knowledge of overall Linux systems and networking administration. - Excellent software debugging skills.

Nice-to-have skills, definitely a plus would be:
- Open source development experience, eventually around CNCF projects.
- Ansible, Jenkins pipeline/Groovy.
- Public/private cloud technologies, e.g., OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- Agile/Scrum methodologies experience
