Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is innovating the future-defined data center, today. From the simplest to the most complex IT environments for all types of workloads, our servers, storage, networking, and solutions help maximize the potential of data centers. We are seeking enthusiastic, career-minded professionals to support our Infrastructure Solutions business unit and existing partners.
The Software and Solutions Business Intern will support and execute our Infrastructure Solutions Group’s Software and Solutions organization in developing strategy and models for growth and evolution of data center software. This role will potentially work across Infrastructure Solutions Group’s business units and geographies. Ideal candidates will have knowledge in software business models and the ability to identify and develop strategic ideas to further business goals. It will require a candidate with strong executive presence: comfortable making executive-level presentations, navigating complex and complicated situations, working through challenges, and positively influencing senior decision makers.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze strategies of partners and Lenovo, develop strategic opportunities in areas of overlapping interest, agree on initiatives, define success metrics, execute and report results to executive stakeholders.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders and other senior leaders to develop and continually refine the major strategic engagements that guide Lenovo’s strategic transformation.
- Participate and/or lead in partnership business planning, co-design service development, Go-To-Market planning and support to increase the strength of the joint offers and services.
- Develop strategic recommendations for new partnerships to enable digital transformation and scale new businesses.
- Software Subject matter expert on Infrastructure Solutions Group’s partner services, capabilities, and markets to identify pertinent trends, developments, and opportunities.

- Able to engage positively across multiple departments to establish clarity, vision, and mutual trust to achieve business goals
- Demonstrated program / project management skills working on and leading teams
- Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms
- Contributes to creative solutions and challenges the status quo
- Proactively learns new tools and identifies opportunities for improvement and promotes their adoption
Required:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university or credentialed software accelerator program
- Degree focused in Business Administration with Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Security and Risk Analysis, or other relevant STEM majors with Software/IT experience
- Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA
- Expected graduation date between December 2024 – June 2026
- Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future
- Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in IT, software, or relevant area
This role will require onsite presence at our Morrisville, NC or Chicago, IL location.
