◇Position Description◇
■Roles and responsibilities
At Lenovo, Solutions Consultants are a core element of our transformation to a Solutions-led business.
The Solutions Consultant is a customer-facing pre-sales role. S/he will engage directly with customer stakeholders across lines of business and corporate functions, including IT, to help create value for customers using technology from Lenovo and our partners. The role is focused on customers with whom Lenovo already has a strategic relationship, with the objective of widening and deepening that relationship.
KPIs for the role include sales and revenue across multiple lines of business, with a focus on services and solutions. The Solutions consultant achieves these KPIs by doing the following:
•Work directly with customer stakeholders to understand objectives, pain points and the opportunities they see for themselves in the market and in technology
•Help customers understand how they can use technology to achieve their objectives, address their pain points and/or take advantage of the opportunities they see
•Identify and explore in detail opportunities for Lenovo to partner with the customer to achieve their objectives
•Engage subject matter experts from Lenovo offerings and partners to build differentiated solutions based on customer requirements
•Manage complex, multi-offering opportunities through the entire sales cycle
•Partner with members of the Lenovo ecosystem (sales, delivery, channel partners, service partners, suppliers, marketing, analysts) to gain a broad and deep understanding of industries and customers
•Help generate account plans based on understanding of customer organization, industry and objectives
◇Requirements◇
The most critical success factor for a Solutions Consultant is the desire and ability to engage with customers at a detailed level over an extended period of time. Beyond that, the skills and experience listed below are useful. They are not all mandatory, but the ideal candidate has some background in half or more:
•Business case development (TCO/ROI analysis)
•Complex solution sales cycle
•Account mapping/planning
•PC Lifecycle Management
•Information Security (Endpoint, Content, Identity)
•Microsoft Modern Management
•Collaboration Technologies
•IoT/Edge Technologies
•Enhancing Sustainability through Technology
•Industry Knowledge (Business Structure, Organization Structure, Key Technologies) for one or more verticals
•Daily conversational level of English is required.
