What You'll Do

The sourcing professional is responsible for managing the overall supplier relationship, drive cost savings, and ensure supply continuity.  The ideal candidate will be very familiar in Electronic Components industry, technology and market trend, cost structure & competitive landscape.  Responsibilities include:

  • Lead supplier selection activities and manage supplier relationship to ensure that the supply chain is capable of delivering high quality, cost effective materials in a fast paced dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Manage and negotiate contract terms
  • Work closely with Engineering team to influence technical design decisions to meet customer expectations, technical capabilities, and business objectives
  • Manage the Approved Vendors List (AVL) & new supplier development, supply improvement and contracts negotiation
  • Interface with cross-function teams to support parts life-cycle management
  • Develop, communicate & execute a sourcing strategy relative to the respective commodity and device, EE.
  • Lead Supplier Quarterly Business Review (QBR) for continuous improvement in supplier performance such as cost, quality, supply, technology, service, environment and ethics.
  • Update market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures, supply outlook and technical improvements.

This role is based in Morrisville, NC.

Requirements:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Electronic Engineering, or Supply Chain management
  • 7+ years’ experience in sourcing, or engineering environment

Preferred Requirements:

  • Broad relationship with major IC suppliers, FE & BE suppliers in industry
  • Experience in Electronic Components (semi-conductor) related field is highly desirable
  • Proven success in sourcing activities, program management, market research, risk mitigation.
  • Strong cross-function team communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving & leadership
  • Proactive thinking & ownership-taking
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel modeling capability such as writing macro is preferred
