Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated L2 Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting network devices and technologies, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba NAC, and F5 load balancers.
The L2 Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring network reliability, performance, and security across our organization’s IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Administer and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including policy creation, monitoring, and security rule implementation.
- Support Aruba NAC solutions, including authentication, authorization, and endpoint compliance.
- Configure and maintain F5 load balancers, ensuring efficient traffic distribution and high availability of services.
- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and network-related projects.
- Maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams, device configurations, and incident reports.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide L2 support for escalated network incidents.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in network engineering and support.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices and technologies.
- Proficiency in managing Palo Alto firewalls and security policies.
- Experience with Aruba NAC implementation and support.
- Familiarity with F5 load balancer configuration and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or higher.
- Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP) or equivalent.
- F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA) or higher.
