Description and Requirements

The Product Owner will be a pivotal part of the Device Management Platform team, utilizing big data to generate insights for on-device interactions and guide the development of AI-driven solutions. This role will also be responsible for crafting our AI roadmap and strategy, with a focus on creating an AI Assistant and integrating AI capabilities across the platform.

Description and Requirements

The Software Product Manager is a key role in our Cloud Software team. We are seeking an experienced Software Product Owner with a proven record of leading and driving software products and solutions and a skilled Scrum practitioner with the ability to create innovative and differentiated solutions that will drive value for Lenovo and our customers.

In this role, you are chartered with anticipating the market, driving key innovative software solutions and applications strategy & delivery in the Commercial technology market.

We are flexible with the location if you are in the US.

What you will be doing:

You will be working with customers and stakeholders to drive software solutions focused on laptops, mobile, edge, IOT and server - device management

Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on hardware & software product synergies and marketing plans.

Strategize with product management and stakeholders on issues related to product requests, vision and overall business value and help drive the strategic & tactical product roadmap.

Own and drive the product roadmap from incubation to launch; Help identify and document Use Cases and User Stories that will define product delivery priorities and timeline.

Own and drive product development by working closely with Scrum Master, Engineering Team, and other stakeholders on product delivery in the Agile environment - ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development) based process.

Groom the product backlog of competing feature requests by evaluating the business value of each and prioritizing the work for engineering.  Constantly coordinate with Scrum Masters and engineering teams including sequencing into Sprints and ensuring that engineering is working on requests based on business priorities.

Work with key business stakeholders to ensure that prioritized solutions are delivered in a timely manner and within budget.

Responsibilities

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience of software product management experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with Agile methodology and scrum team experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of AI, LLMs and Generative AI
  • Experience with Big Data
  • Prior experience with driving product strategy, roadmaps, building a business case, revenue model for a product and/or defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive product innovation.
  • SaaS knowledge.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software security components and principles
  • Understanding of hardware, firmware, operating systems, drivers and applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive complex software product definition and development with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities being executed by multiple teams.
  • ATDD Product Ownership experience.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
